From the 1st October 2024 (previously 1st July) the government will bring in The Allocation of Tips Act, this means that the employer will need to ensure that they have a policy in place to fairly manage tips.  The Bill dictates that all discretionary tips, gratuities, and service charges must be exclusively given to staff. Employers cannot retain any for processing or administrative costs
